What if Religions.

What if Hinduism
Did not ask us to worship
the different avatars of God
To accept the tiny misbelief
and do nothing but nod
What if the religions
did not force devotion
that made us to smother
And only told us to be good to each other.

What if Christianity
Did not make its own customs
and allowed people to be rational
and think twice.
Making them sudden angelic souls
as soon as they drown themselves
and baptise.
What if the religions
did not divide humans
and forbid the inside lover
And only told us to be good to each other.

What if Sikhism
Did not make a book
the only epitome of piousness
and disregard all the other creatures
Being humble and respecting
the fellow beings are not a
religion’s best features.
What if the religions
told us to help when
a person suffer
And also told us to be good to each other.

What if Islam
Did not tell us to bestow
to the Almighty five times a day
And gave us freedom to pray
in our very own way
What if the religions
did not make us follow rituals
& fall in grubby gutter
And only told us to be good to each other.

  1. “If you know you are alive, find the essence of life. For life is the sort of guest you don’t meet twice. ”
    Kabir.

“If you believe, you don’t know. And if you know, you don’t need to believe.”

Once you know you can get on with the business of enjoying.

  2. There would be equally and many lives would have been saved, if people realise that different religions are different ways of living but not different clans meant to fight… Nice post
